Charity bike ride for Blind Project in Cambodia ended successfully
In 29 hours and 27 minutes by bike from Aachen to Berlin – Reception at the Embassy
On Saturday, 16 July at 10.00 clock are Dominic and his team started in Aachen at the City Hall. The goal of Berlin in less than 30 hours drive away, was set high.
But he has done it! Supported by a great team he has around 15.27 clock on 17 July, reached after exactly 29 hours and 27 minutes by bike only the outskirts of Berlin.

Until last week was our biggest problem is the purchasing of a bus that will be used as a support vehicle. Attempts to rent a vehicle such one or more sponsors could be found by then, unfortunately, not been successful.
We could not believe our luck when Stephen Wolf, the owner of CarStyle Niederzier us last week in a vehicle at their disposal. Mr. Wolf was so impressed by our campaign, that he spontaneously agreed to support this explained.

Cambodia is one of the poorest countries on earth. People with disabilities are still affected by these conditions much harder than the average population. Medical care does not take place, only a few receive education, training, almost none. Must beg, abused or neglected to be the hard fate of many, especially young people there.

Ambassador Rodley opens Cambodia 2011 English Camp
The students who are invited to participating in the camp are those studying English through the U.S. State Department’s “English Access Microscholarship Program”.
On July 2, the US Embassy in Phnom Penh hosted the Cambodia 2011 English Camp for over 150 students from nine provincial cities. The event began with cheerful entertainment from the Marine Forces Pacific Band – the “Party Band”, based in Hawaii. What a fun day for students who have little opportunity to participate in an event like this!

To promote understanding and friendship between Germans and Cambodians, we have initiated a Patenschafttsaktion. Our club was the first who has mediated in the war-torn Cambodia in the 90 years of sponsorship for mentally and physically traumatized orphans, long before government arrival of international aid in this sector.

Despite a ceasefire is in force at the Cambodian-Thai border have come again to fight. As the Thai army announced that it came in the night, a Thai soldier was killed. Four soldiers were wounded. The situation had calmed down by now, but remain tense.
